In the USA Monday Feb. 16 2015 is Presidents Day. When I was young and in school two Famous USA Presidents had birthday's in February President Abraham Lincoln the 16th President birthday was the 12th.. George Washington the 1st President was on the 22nd. And every year we hoped that their birthday's would either land on a Monday or a Friday and we could have a long weekend but if neither one did then we wouldn't get the day off at school. And some years we didn't get it off at all. The amazing thing was these were like the two most important Presidents in American History. The First President George Washington of course fought for the freedom of America from England. He was the only president that was ever unanimously elected to that office. John Adams only lacked one vote from it the fellow that voted against him said he wanted Washington to the only one with that honor. Thus George Washington helped fight and found the United States of America and was a great president. Abraham Lincoln was in office when the southern states tried to separate themselves from the northern states with the American Civil War erupted while he was in office and he with his strategy saved America from being separated and kept it in tact. No two other presidents in American history have done as much for the United States as these two men. Both relied totally on the Lord Jesus Christ and were praying men. It is only these two presidents that were to be celebrated not every American president. When President Nixon was in office along with the congress who all wanted a little more time off. Changed a lot of holidays to be on Monday to create long weekends for all government workers. Many were changed just as Memorial day which was supposed to be on the 30 of May was changed to the last Monday in May.. But they decided not to celebrate two presidents in February that seemed to much so they would only celebrate them both with only one day and it would be a Monday between two the birthday's and would change the name in honor of those two presidents to be called "Presidents Day". Thus like Memorial Day changes every year. But always between Lincoln and Washington's Birthday. Now you know the rest of the story about Presidents Day. Take care and God bless you and keep you..
