THE CHRISTMAS MOUSE 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, And all through the Center The only thing stirring... Was an inanimate critter. I looked all around From console to desk The mice they were moving... About with great zest! There were mice that were white And some partly silver While others were black... With an accent of pewter. There were some colored pasty With a red lighted bottom But they all had a tail... 'Cause that's how we caught 'em! Then they sat on the desk All silent and peaceful Just waiting for someone... To reach out and squeeze one! And then in a twinkling The curser would slide Then reach out and dispatch... A cop on a ride. From the Incident Mask To the unit in Quarters The mouse sent a medic... To save someone's daughter. And then just as quick To the Gold Elite Screen The mouse made a click... And the radio screamed! And away with a whistle Went the big reddish truck Off to turn fire... Into water and muck. Just then as a call Appeared on the screen The curser and mouse... Could barely be seen. But they answered the call Deciphered the problem Then clickity click... And out went the people. And out on the streets The people did wonder How a little ole mouse... Could send crime all asunder. But the mouse took no credit But went straight to it's work For sending out help... Was a great rodent perk! So while children were nestled All snug in their bunks The Great Console Mouse... Sent some cops to the punks. And so it was grand Our Christmas this year For the mouse down in Dispatch... Had conquored our fear. Safe were our families Our friends, and Saint Nick All because Mouse... Was so lively and quick. So the dispatcher set In a tractor seat chair And together with mouse... They made quite a pair. So saving the world On this cold Christmas Night Was a little ole mouse... With a red bottom light.
