Dear Daughter

A couple weeks ago I listened to this song for the first time. I had came home from my best friend's house. Her mother and father are so caring. I cried listening to this, it was like I was hearing the words that I want mine to say. So I wrote a letter for my future daughter, if I have a baby boy I'll be happy either way. Dear future child, As you will come to learn in life, we live in a world of flaws. It is not hard to see that everything around us has flaws, but if you look a litte deeper I promise you will see the beauty in this world. As you grow older, you will start to question who you are and what your purpose in this world is, what you're meant to be. You will go through phases, it's a confusing and frustrating time, but there is beauty in it. Enjoy this phase you get to learn so much about yourself. You get to try new things and learn more about the world and yourself. There will be saddness and there will be pain, but all of that will come and go. You can't be happy forever, but you also cannot be sad forever. As I found out, during this time you'll find out who your true friends are, they're the ones who will stay with you no matter how far caught you are in the tide. The only thing that matters to me is your happiness, your safety, and your future. I want the best for you. I promise I will be the best mother that I can be. I will fail multiple times, but that doesn't mean that I will accept it. I will get back up and I will keep trying until I get it right. I guess you would call it failing your way to success. Finally, you can be anything that you want to be. You are full of potential. You could be President, you could be an astronaunt, you could be an artist. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it because anyone can. You have to work hard to get to where you want to be. I've made so many mistakes in my life, and I have much more to make, but I've learned from them. Don't follow in my footsteps, make your own. When you're in the darkness, remember to look at the moonlight. There will always be that light guiding your way to where you are supposed to be in life. The hardships and rough patches that you're going to go through in life are going to be worth it I promise you. They will lead you to the person who you will be. I haven't met you yet, my son or daughter, but I love you already and I promise I will do everything I can to be the best momma I can be. Love, Your Future Mother <3
